I found you through Davis Wiki. Are you by any chance a Dutchman? My husband Jeroen (John) and I are Dutch (from Scheveningen) and moved to Davis on October 14. 2011. We like it very much here and try to build our lives here. It would be nice to see somebody who is Dutch (or Flemish?) here.
I am looking for somebody who can correct some translated text of mine (Dutch-English), I can give a (small) fee for it. Would you be interested (if you are originally form The Netherlands or Belgium)?

I sure am Dutch – well sorta.
I was was born in Enschede but my parents immigrated when I was seven – so all my schooling was not Dutch.
Would love to meet you.
I live in the Stonegate area of davis and know of two other Dutch families around my neighborhood. Never had any get togethers but maybe I should give that a try.
I am not very good in reading or writing Dutch but I can speak it.
Let me know your schedule and we can have a coffee in town – my wife knows a few Dutch words but is not Dutch.
